PATROLS FOR BARANGAY CHAIRMEN

 

 

Mayor Bambol N. Tolentino turned over units of Barangay Patrol to four (4) Barangay Captains in a simple rites held after the celebration of the thanksgiving mass that marks the 71st Founding day of Tagaytay City.


Recipients of the Barangay Patrols are Barangay Silang Crossing East, Francisco, Kaybagal South and Iruhin Central, all located along tourism zone of the city.


Other barangays that were also given their respective Barangay Patrols are Silang Crossing West, Tolentino East, Calabuso, Sungay West, Mag-asawang Ilat, Mendez Crossing West, Maharlika West, Maitim II Central and Zambal.


The Barangay patrols are intended for the official use of the Barangay residents and to strengthen the cooperation of local residents and tourists for the promotion of  peace and order within their jurisdiction.

 

THOUSANDS BENEFIT FROM LINGAP

 

Thousands of Tagaytay City residents flocked to the Tolentino Sports and Activity Center to avail of the free medical and other social services under the Lingap sa Barangay Program  organized by the City Government of Tagaytay under the leadership of Mayor Abraham “Bambol” N. Tolentino and with the cooperation of  the 2nd Infantry Division, PA under MGEN Roland Detabali and  the Public Affairs Service, ARESCOM under Col Eduardo Lacanieta.


Conducted  to highlight,  among other programs on June 20, 2009, the celebration of Tagaytay City’s 71st Founding Anniversary, the Lingap sa Barangay is a community-based program conducted regularly which offers free medical and dental services, birth registration, free legal consultations and other health related reform programs for Tagaytay City residents.

 

            Mayor Bambol Tolentino stressed that building a healthy city is one of the priority programs of his administration in the effort to improve the people’s living condition and to enhance the city’s competitiveness.
