TAGAYTAY LUNCHES LINGAP SA MGA MAG-AARAL

 

Tagaytay  City  Mayor Abraham  “Bambol” N. Tolentino leads the city officials in the conduct of Lingap sa Mag-aaral program initiated to assure that the children  of Tagaytay receive proper care and nutrition while they are in school.

 

Mayor Bambol N. Tolentino brought the entire frontline service providers of Tagaytay City headed by the Program Coordinator, Engr. Emma U. Pello, CPDC to implement the program.

The City Nutrition  Office, with the assistance of Barangay Nutrition Scholars conducts the weighing of students  to determine if they are within the normal  body weight. The City Health Office headed by Dr. Rosalinda Mangaya provides medical check up and distributes multivitamins and ascorbic acid. The group also set off the campaign on proper dental education with Dr. Raquel Vertudez giving lecture to the pupils.

Students also receive free toothbrush and toothpaste. Dental check up and tooth extraction were facilitated by Dr. Yoly  Maligayo. Other students were also given free haircut.
Mayor Tolentino has been providing free school supplies and uniforms to all public schools students since his inception to office in 2004.
Scheduled to be conducted to all public schools in  Tagaytay, the program aims to address and subsequently promote the total healthcare needs of the children and strengthen the roles of schools as child friendly institutions.
