Special Education Class Opens in Tagaytay

With special children Simoun Miguel Parra, Brant Alick Parra and Jose Daniel Francisco and their parents, three of the initial five students,  Mayor Bambol N. Tolentino leads the opening of the SPED Learning Center in Tagaytay Elementary School.

As teaching to special children entails more quality time and a lot of sacrifices on the part of the parents, Mayor Tolentino encourages his constituents to identify special children in their respective barangays such as those who are mentally delayed, hearing impaired and autistic, so that they will be able to attend special classes being conducted by trained professional. Ms. Leticia Angcaya, a professional teacher of 15 years and currently taking up Masteral  degree in Special Education at the Phil Normal University was tasked to supervise the class.

During the opening ceremonies, Mayor Tolentino distributed as well  shoes for these special children and some indigent students.

The opening of the SPED Class in Tagaytay is part of Mayor Tolentino’s program of making every child in Tagaytay attend school and become learned.
