Internal and External Accessibility
Tagaytay occupies strategic pointing at the boundaries
of Cavite, Laguna and Batangas provinces. Tagaytay is accessible by
land from all directions through eight (8) national entrances and exits.
The same roads likewise serve as links between the city’s barangays
making all the barangays accessible by road. The major trunkline that
links Tagaytay City from Metro Manila is the Aguinaldo Highway. An alternative
route from Metro Manila is via South Expressway through the Carmona
Interchange-Dasmariñas Junction-Aguinaldo Highway. Other alternate
roads include the Tagaytay-Ulat-Sto. Domingo-Sta. Rosa Road, which passes
through the South Expressway via the Sta. Rosa Interchange on the north-eastern
portion, and the Mendez-Indang-Trece Martirez-Tanza Road, on the northwestern
portion, which leads to the Manila-Cavite Coastal Road. Likewise, the
Tagaytay-Sta. Road serves as an access route to the industrial zones
located in Cavite and Laguna. Linking the adjacent provinces of Batangas
and Laguna with Tagaytay City are the Nasugbu-Tagaytay-Calamba Road
on the eastwest lateral and the Tagaytay-Talisay road on the southern
ridge of the city.
